explorer.exe Using High Memory Usage? Lets Reduce

explorer.exe is known as the "Windows Program Manager". This file is what opens your windows, shows desktop, enables right click, and so on. So in essence this is WINDOWS, and I highly recommend not to disable it AT ALL!!!

Your explorer.exe is located in C:\Windows no where else if it's located anywhere else it's either a virus, or malware.

Before:

So lets go ahead, and lower the about of usage this thing is using.

So go head to Control Panel\System and Maintenance\System once there click on Change Settings then the Advanced tab, and the click on Settings under performance.

Uncheck the following: (recommended)
1) Enable Desktop Composition
2) Fade or Slide Menus Into View
3) Show Preview and Filters in Folder

You can disable others if you wish, but it's at your own risk.

Now head to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization, and click on Folder Options, and select "Use Windows Classic Folders".

This should help a little bit although, it won't help a lot. The only way it'll help a lot is by disabling more of the appearance features.
