Problem: Downgrading Dell Studio 1555 Notebook to Windows XP

If you get a bluescreen during Windows XP setup. Do the following.

  1. Go to BIOS by pressing F12 key.
  2. Set the flash cache option as NO.
  3. Change the mode of harddrive for AHCI to ATA.
  4. Save and exit the changes and reset the laptop.
